Charles Henry Stevens b. on May 15, 1835 Enlisted on Sept 1, 1861 at Camp Mitchell, Nelson co, Va into Co. K, 49th Va Infantry for 1 year. Present through April 1862. On May 28, 1862 hired as a substitute. Later service in the Chesapeake Cavalry Co. I, 5th Va Cavalry. On Feb 20, 1864 Conscripted and Transferred at Camp Lee, Richmond, VA. On April 30, 1864 On Rolls. "Member of a consolidated regiment".
