B-17 TAIL GUNNER. 331st Bomber Squadron, 94th Bomber Group, Heavy. B-17G Flying Fortress (42-31212); 94th Bombardment Group, 3rd Bombardment Wing, 8th Air Force; Awarded Air Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster and Purple Heart. On Jan 05, 1944 KILLED IN ACTION ON A BOMBING MISSION TO BORDEAUX. Buried in US Military Cemetery, Margraten, the Netherlands or Normandy, France?   Pvt.
