Samuel Sam Berry Wyland b. April 01, 1838 Enlisted on Aug 16, 1862 as a Private into Co. H, 148th Pa Infantry. One of his fingers had been shot off at the Battle of Chancellorville. On Dec 1, 1864 he was promoted to Corpl. On Jan 1, 1865 he was promoted to Sergt. On June 1, 1865 He was Mustered Out at Alexandria, Va. On Feb 7, 1897 he died and is buried in Bellefonte, Pa.(Brother of George Gilbert Wyland and Lewis A. Wyland)
