I wish I had more to go on, but my family was not forthcoming about her, and when I knew her, her mental capacity had deteriorated to a great degree. There was a story about there being a pirate in her family...an uncle or cousin, perhaps father, but I believe that story runs through many families, and the great age of piracy was just about over in 1860. Someone had come to see her years & years before asking to see if her little finger was quite crooked, which it was, to claim her as his descendant. All very "folk story" like, eh wot, Sherlock?? Anyway, I will look forward to the news letter and thanks for listening.
