Pvt. George Albert Stevens*
b. in 1842 Enlisted on Oct 11, 1861 at New York City, Ny as a Private.
On Oct 31, 1861 he mustered into Co. M, 5th Ny Cavalry at the age of
19 years old. Transfered from company M to company L. On Nov 2, 1861
He deserted at Camp Scott, Staten Island, NY. Renlisted on May 28, 1862
into Co. I, 13th Regiment, New York Heavy Artillery (State Militia). On
Sept 28, 1862 he was mustered out.

b. in 1837 Enlisted on June 5, 1861 as a Private into
Co. A, 25th Oh Infantry at age of 23 years old. On July

Pvt. George Gilbert Wyland*
b. December 28, 1843 Enlisted on Apr 19, 1861 as a Private into
Co. H, 4th Pa Infantry. On July 27, 1861 he was mustered out
at Harrisburg, PA. On Aug 13, 1862 Re-enlisted as a Private
into Co. C, 125th Pa Infantry. On May 18, 1863 he was mustered
out at Harrisburg, PA.( F )
Capt. Philip Crow
b. in 1815. Enlisted on Sept 28, 1861 as a Captain. On Dec 27, 1861 he was commissioned into
Co. G, 46th OH Infantry. COMPANY G, FORTY-SIYTH OHIO VOLUNTEER INFANTRY.-This company was
recruited in the western part of the county, by Captain Philip A. Crow, and was mustered
in with the regiment on the sixteenth of October, 1861. It left Camp Chase for the field
February 18, 1862, and was attached to General Sherman's division at Paducah, Kentucky.
The Forty-sixth was one of the advance regiments up the Tennessee to the famous battle
ground of Shiloh, and on that memorable day was posted near the Shiloh church..MY GREAT-GREAT-GREAT GRANDUNCLES
Corpl. Samuel Sam Berry Wyland*
b. April 01, 1838 Enlisted on Aug 16, 1862 as a Private into
Co. H, 148th Pa Infantry. On Dec 1, 1864 he was promoted to Corpl.
On Jan 1, 1865 he was promoted to Sergt. On June 1, 1865 He was
Mustered Out at Alexandria, Va. On Feb 7, 1897 he died and is buried
in Bellefonte, Pa.
Pvt. Lewis A. Wyland*
b. in 1841 Enlisted as a Private into Co. G, 51st Pa Infantry.
He appears on the Roll of Honor. On January 06, 1863 he died at
Poplar Grove, Church, Va. He is buried in the US Soldiers' and

b. September 08, 1838 Enlisted on Apr 24, 1861 as a Fifer into
Co. I, 11th Pa Inf. On July 31, 1861 He was Mustered Out at Harrisburg,
Pa. Reenlisted on Oct 25, 1861 into Co. F, 11th Pa Infantry. On Dec 16, 1861
he was promoted to Principal Musician. On June 12, 1862 he was promoted to
Private and Transferred from company F to company K 11th Pa Inf. On Aug 19,
1864 POW at Weldon Railroad, Va. On June 5, 1865 He died as a POW at Salisbury,

b. on March 12, 1843 Enlisted on Oct 14, 1861 as a 8th Corpl into
Co. M, IA 9th Cavalry at the age of 19 years old. On Feb 15, 1864
promoted to 7th Corpl. On July 9, 1864 He died of disease at Devall's
Bluff, AR. (Buried in National Cemetery, Devall's Bluff, AR).
Pvt. John Loose Wineland*
b. on October 05, 1842 Enlisted on Sept 19, 1861 as a Private
into Co. H, 48th PA Infantry. On March 17, 1863 POW. On April
20, 1864 Returned. On July 7, 1865 He was discharged.
Pvt. Peter Wyland*
b. on July 30, 1839 Enlisted on Aug 29, 1862 as a Private into Co.
B, 148th Pa Infantry at the age of 23 years old. On July 1-3 1863
he fought at the battle of Gettysburg, his name is listed on the
148th Pa Infantry Monument at Gettysburg, PA as Peter Wylan under
Company B. On Oct 12, 1863 sent to hospital in at Washington, DC.
On Jan 1, 1865 He was Mustered Out at Alexandria, VA "absent, sick
at muster out". AKA Peter Wylan.
Pvt. Samuel Wineland
b. on November 27, 1838 Enlisted on July 12, 1862 as a Private into
Co. C, 100th OH Infantry at the age of 23 years old. On Sept 8, 1863
POW at Limestone Station, TN. On June 14, 1864 Returned. On June 20, 1865
He was Mustered Out at Greensboro, NC.
Pvt. Silas Wyland
b. on September 21, 1834 Enlisted on Aug 22, 1862 as a Private into
Co. K, 74th IN Infantry. On June 9, 1865 He was Mustered Out at at
Washington, DC. In 1909 he died.
Musician. Simon Wyland
b. on August 21, 1840 Enlisted on Sept 24, 1861 as a Private into
Co. B, 30th IN Infantry. He from company B to Field & Staff.
He was promoted to Prin. Musician. On Jan 1, 1864 He Re-enlisted.
On Nov 25, 1865 He was Mustered Out. On December 05, 1908 he died.
Corpl. Wilson Wyland
b. in 1842 Enlisted on October 28, 1864 as a Private into
Co. C, 11th MI Infantry. On June 16, 1865 Promoted to Full Corporal.
